The checklists provided here are minimum requirements for pilots and aircraft participating in the Mountain / Canyon Flying Seminars. We strongly urge participating pilots to wear clothing appropriate to the environment in which the course is conducted. We recommend the wear of long pants or flight suits, preferably of NOMEX® material. Although courses are conducted during the summer months, temperatures at altitude can be quite cold - be prepared!

Pilot Checklist:
Private Pilot Certificate (Minimum)
Current Medical Certificate (3rd Class Minimum)
Proof of Current Biennial Flight Review
250 Hours PIC (Minimum)
50 Hours in Make / Model of Aircraft Flown in Course (Minimum)
10 Hours in Make / Model of Aircraft Within Preceding 90 Days
Aircraft Checklist:
Airworthiness Certificate
Aircraft Registration
Operating Specifications (Pilot Operating Handbook - if available for model)
Current Weight & Balance
Proof of current annual and 100 hour inspection (if applicable)
Proof of insurance, including liability coverage
Shoulder harness for instructor seat.  The shoulder harness must be FAA-approved for the aircraft (original equipment, FAA-PMA replacement, STC'd, or 337 field-approved).  No other types of shoulder harnesses will be accepted. Click here for more information.
Intercom, preferably built-in, with PTT for Instructor
First aid kit and basic (minimum) survival kit
Tie down ropes and stakes
Tow bar (for Tricycle gear aircraft)
Wheel chocks
Window Cleaner and towels
Extra Oil
